Fluke 393 FC CAT III 1500 V with iFlex probe
Date:2023-01-09        Hits:277        Back
With an ultra-thin jaws, the meter meets the CAT III 1500 V safety rating and IP54 dust and water resistance rating, making it ideal for installation, operation and troubleshooting in photovoltaic power stations.

In August 2021, Fluke introduced the Fluke® 393 FC CAT III 1500 V True RMS Clamp meter with the iFlex probe. It is Fluke's first thin clamp meter to meet the 1500 V CAT III safety rating and IP54 protection rating. With its CAT III 1500 V/CAT IV 6000 V safety rating, 393 FC provides superior safety for users working in DC environments up to 1500 V, such as solar arrays, wind power, electrified railways, and data center batteries with uninterrupted power supply. The ultra-thin jaws enable it to be used in bushboxes, inverters and narrow Spaces, making it ideal for higher voltage environments such as photovoltaic power plant operation and maintenance.

The meter can measure up to 1500 V DC voltage, 1000 V AC voltage, and 999.9 A DC or AC current through the jaws. The included iFlex flexible current probe extends the AC current measurement range up to 2500 A. When measuring AC current, the iFlex probe allows twisting in a tiny space, solving the problem of technicians having difficulty or inability to otherwise clamp the probe around the cable.

"Fluke 393 FC provides unmatched safety and performance in 1500V DC environments such as photovoltaic arrays," Grace, Fluke 393 product Manager, said, "It is designed to address the unique challenges faced by PV plant operations technicians every day, helping them complete their work faster and more safely."

Fluke 393 FC has the following features:
The IP54 class is dust and water resistant, ideal for outdoor operations on solar arrays and wind power systems.
Dc power measurement, showing the reading in kVA.
Auditory and visual indication of polarity ensures proper installation of photovoltaic panels with the help of a buzzer and indicator light indicating polarity.
Visual Continuity, which provides bright green light on the display, is ideal for working in dark and noisy environments.
Test results are recorded, shared and reported through Fluke Connect software.
Photovoltaic power station design, installation, operation and troubleshooting special tools
The 393 FC is the latest addition to Fluke's line of test tools designed for the photovoltaic industry. The Fluke tool operates reliably in a variety of extreme environments (such as dusty, wet, cold and hot) where PV plant operations professionals work, and field tests have shown that the Fluke tool is not damaged by falling. Fluke tools meet or exceed all recommended safety standards to ensure workers work safely in potentially hazardous electrical environments.
